Palace Skateboards rework Adidas’ EQT range in their newest collab.

The cult London streetwear brand look to the German sportswear giant’s beloved 90’s Equipment, or ‘EQT’ line for their next capsule, reworking the Support silhouette for 2016 in two new colourways. The shoes are being dropped alongside a luxurious looking Chenille velour tracksuit, featuring adidas Originals’ iconic three stripes across the sleeves and chest, as well as the Palace script logo debossed into the suede across the back.

The adidas Equipment range was originally launched in 1991, inspired by founder Adi Dassler’s original approach to sportswear design. It encompassed all sports disciplines and was intended to incorporate “The Best of Adidas”. The line quickly became a fan favourite due to it’s strong, simplistic aesthetic and comfortable, functional product design. A successful relaunch in recent years has seen the EQT greeted with affection by a new generation of fans.

The Palace EQT is based off of the original EQT Support model, pairing a familiar Torsion midsole with a revamped upper, kitted out in adidas Originals’ lightweight, breathable and flexable Primeknit material. Primeknit perfectly maps the panels of the classic shoe with it’s delicate weave, ending in a sock-like opening around the ankle. The Primeknit upper is reinforced with welded structural overlays and topped off with Palace’s now signature TPU heel cage.

The adidas Originals x Palace Skateboards Palace EQT capsule is available at the Palace London store and select global retailers from December 16th. Online launches December 16th 00:01GMT via the Palace webstore.
