Benjamin Damage drops his new album Obsidian on 50WEAPONS this Friday, marking the final full length album for the label, which shuts shop later this year.

The Berlin-based imprint are going full circle, polishing off the LP catalogue with a release from the first artist other than founder Modeselektor to put out music with them.

This will be the third album the Welshman has released over his career, following from 2012’s They!Live with Doc Daneeka and 2013’s Heliosphere. This promises to be, for the most part, a more mellow affair – delivering dreamlike rhythms and emotive melodies with tracks like Parallax View, Transmission and Cosmonaut (below) delivering the goods for the dancefloor.

Damage himself states; “Obsidian is a collection of fragmented memories from all the music I’ve ever liked, distorted and restructured into a full length techno record. A purely personal project and an end of an era with 50WEAPONS.”
