Carhartt WIP drop a fast-paced new video campaign for their SS15 collection.
Unmistakebly British, the video follows Carhartt team rider Jerome Campbell and a female lead through tower blocks, corner shops, hair salons and overpasses as they attempt to reunite. Director Josh Gordon has done a great job on the campaign, taking the brand video in a slightly new creative direction with more emphasis on narrative. Sartorially, dungarees, denim jeans, relaxed chinos, a hi-vis MA1 bomber and the ever-popular Carhartt chore coat make an appearance.
Music continues to play a strong part in WIP’s output, as the film comes soundtracked by Saga’s Whistle Grip (out now on Lit City Trax). It’s the perfect accompaniment to the raw, gritty feel of the video. This comes at a time when Grime music is finally getting noticed on a more global scale, perhaps an indication towards the brands next music-related project? Carhartt WIP have previously collabed with electronic music artists including Theo Parrish, Dark Sky and the Huntleys & Palmers label.
