News | Dusky | Ordinary World EP | 17 Steps
Dusky premiere a third track from their forthcoming Ordinary World EP.
The fourth EP to be released on the duo’s label 17 Steps, it’s a venture even further away from the bass-y, garage-influenced tracks they both made at the beginning of their careers. This record contains some of the darkest material Dusky have put out to date, with clear techno influences. Aiming for both intensity and energy on the EP, they cite “festival techno” acts like Cirez D, Underworld, Slam as part-inspiration for the EP.
The most recent track to get a premiere, Parakeet Feet is a slightly warmer affair than the rest of the EP, showing Nick and Alfie’s diverse production talents and technical abilities. Since launching their label last year they’ve gone strength to strength, putting out quality EPs from the likes of Velvit and Christian Piers, as well as launching their own music alongside remixes from drum & bass innovator LTJ Bukem and London producer Benton.
