News | Nike x Atmos Air Max 1 ‘Jade Elephant’ Reissue | Air Max Day 2017

Back by popular demand, the Air Max 1 Retro Atmos Jade Elephant returns later on this week.

Originally hitting shelves in 2007, the iconic colourway was designed by Tokyo concept Atmos’ creative director Koji. The shoe combined the Air Jordan III’s elephant print with a striking white vamp and vibrant jade swoosh, meant to echo the idea of an elephant splashing in water in the wild. The result was a design that would go on to become a favourite for many, as well as last year’s Vote Back winner.

This reissued version features a durable leather upper, rubber waffle-inspired outsole and lightweight visible heel cushioning. The shoe has been designed to replicate the beloved old school AM1 shape and reimagined with even more premium materials than the original release had. Arriving this Saturday as a quickstrike release, the shoe is also available as a double box pack coupled with a jade-elephant-inspired Jordan 3. If that’s not enough jade in your life, there’ll also be a ‘big swoosh’ clothing collection to complement the footwear.
