News | Team Behind Oval Space To Open New London Venue
The team behind East London venue Oval Space will open a brand new nightspot later this year.
Located just across the road from the main Oval Space site, The Pickle Factory has been owned by the brand since 2013, used as a blank canvas events space by the likes of Google, pop up cinema Video Dayz and Forza Win.
Now reinvented by co-founder Jordan Gross with the help of design engineer Michael Guerra, it’s reopning this October as an intimate 250-capacity venue & outdoor courtyard with “minimal frills, stripped-back lighting and a top of the range, as-yet-unreleased soundsystem” courtesy of German manufacturer d&b audiotechnik.
Specific lineups are still to be announced, though we’re told that the mid-week programming will consist of live music acts, with the Oval Space team overseeing Friday night’s billings, focusing on “plenty of unannounced guests, no more than three artists per night, and all-night long sets as standard.” Saturdays schedules will be up to a selection of London’s top promoters. See below for a little teaser video from The Pickle Factory team.
