We’ve teamed up with online store Wellgosh to provide you with their current favourite “Trainer Of The Week” to feature on our blog and in our weekly newsletter. There are no other rules other than we have to feature a new style each week and give a description of why it’s their “Trainer Of The Week”. To find out more about Wellgosh click HERE.
This week’s ‘Trainer of the Week’ is the Nike Air Max Lunar 1 in White/Chilling Red. The iconic runner appears in its original colourway updated with the latest performance technology from Nike for Fall 2014. The Nike Air Max 1 was the first running silhouette to feature the revolutionary visible Air-Sole unit when it initially appeared on shelves in 1987. The legendary silhouette designed by Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker revolutionised footwear showcasing the visible ‘Air’ in a striking red and white palette, since then Nike Air Max styles have become synonymous with athletes and collectors through the offering of striking colour-ups on a reliable lightweight runner.
The Nike Air Max Lunar 1 maintains the original silhouette, however discards the suede and nylon mesh upper for a clean no-sew taped upper alongside a wider, and a more breathable mesh for maximum ventilation. The seamless white upper is accented with a red mudguard, top-eyelet, sidewall, tongue and heel branding, with grey taping overlaid onto the seams and mesh panels on the sidewalls; adding depth to palette. The undercarriage is updated with a ‘Lunarlon’ midsole for the first time, whilst retaining the distinguishable visible air sole-unit in the heel appearing in white, with pops of red and black on the waffle rubber outsole; offering lightweight, ultra-cushioned comfort and traction.
Nike Air Max styles never stay on the shelves long so don’t miss out on this limited edition update on the original AM style. The Nike Air Max Lunar 1 in White/Chilling Red RRP £103.95 is now available at Wellgosh while stocks.
