This week’s ‘Trainer of the Week’ is the Adidas Superstar Supercolor in Red. The Adidas Superstar Supercolor drops as one of the fifty colour-ways available as part of the adidas originals campaign curated by Pharrell Williams. The collaborative collection is composed of fifty hues in the iconic low-cut basketball silhouette spanning the majority of the colour spectrum to promote diversity, equality and individuality.
The adidas Originals Superstar Supercolor collection is the latest instalment of the long running Superstar campaign, that sees Pharrell lend his creative talents to adidas Originals again, after previously collaborating with Pharrell for the last few seasons on the ‘Stan Smith Tennis Pack’ and ‘Stan Smith Polka Dot Pack’. The concept behind the previous Adicolor campaign was at the forefront of design in the manufacturing the Superstar Supercolor Pack; “A true superstar knows the importance of individuality. It’s not about following the pack, or telling someone else what to wear. You cannot impose a style on a superstar – nor a trend, or a colour.”
Pharrell’s primary focus was on the freedom of expression on the conceptualisation of Supercolor Pack, stating; “Supercolor is a celebration of equality through diversity.” With fifty colours featured in the pack everybody will find the colour for them. 
The Adidas Superstar Supercolor is Red appears with a fully tonal upper, crafted from vibrant cuts of luxury leather, with a tonal textured sole unit below. The classic detailing that made the Superstar an icon is retained, including the original rubber shell-toe, a textured cupsole and herringbone tread outsole. The limited edition Superstar has been updated with a mesh lining, limited edition printed ‘TIGHTEN UP’ & ‘LACE YOURSELF’ lace tips and a signature full printed insole inspired by traditional Chinese medicine displaying the reflexology of the foot.
