This week’s Trainer of the Week is the Converse Auckland Racer Quickstrike Ox featured in Yellow. The 1970’s archive runner receives a premium update for Summer 2014 under the Converse Quickstrike bracket, which the brand introduced at the start of this year. The Converse Auckland Racer Quickstrike Ox in Yellow is one half of the limited edition Summer 2014 ‘Animal’ Pack, which is consists of two Auckland Racers appearing in animal print with individual vibrant palettes applied to the upper panels of each trainer.
Amplifying colour and trend, the heritage performance runner features an original animal print in a vibrant palette of tonal pink and yellow hues printed onto the upper panels, tongue and sock-liner. The lightweight, breathable nylon upper features a custom animal precision print, with tonal black stitching on the upper seams, cotton laces and woven tongue branding tying the colourway together, and giving the Auckland Racer a sleek aesthetic. Underfoot is an updated phylon sole unit appearing in monochrome white, concluding the clean construction of this updated Converse running silhouette.
Both the Yellow and Blue colour-ups in the ‘Animal’ Pack Converse Auckland Racer are now available in-store and online at Wellgosh in limited quantities. RRP 84.95.
