This weeks ‘Trainer of the Week’ the long awaited and highly anticipated Reebok X Palace Workout Low, marking the second collaboration between Palace and Reebok and the third Palace collaborative project with a UK Sportswear Institute, available in four colour-ways: Colligate/Navy/White, Palace/Burgandy/White, Palace/White/Ice and Palace/Black/White.
The Spring/Summer 2013 release features a reworked Reebok Workout Low, updated with the application a vulcanized midsole, a custom grippier outsole than the previous Palace X Reebok Workout Low, and a hardwearing full grain leather upper, with a premium suede applied to the Palace/Black/White colour-way.
Minimal panelling and stitching give the upper of this update of an iconic silhouette a sleeker, slimmer aesthetic, to provide a cleaner version that is more functional as a skate shoe, offering more durability and board feel.
The two monochrome colour-ups feature tonal embossed Reebok Classic branding below the lace bed, with the branding appearing in Gold with a Full colour Union Jack on the Colligate/Navy/White and Palace/Burgandy/White colour-ways. All of the colour-ups feature a monotone embossed Palace Tri-Ferg graphic on the the heel, and gum midsoles appearing on the Colligate/Navy/White, Palace/Burgandy/White, and Palace/Black/White colour-ups, with the Palace/White/Ice appearing in monochrome white, with a white mid-sole and a custom ice blue outsole.
Finishing touches include a Palace branded insole with pinstriped details appearing in the same colour as the upper on each colour-up, a spare set of white laces, a padded towling ankle collar and a custom Palace X Reebok key-ring. The four colour-ways are now available at Palace Skateboards and Reebok stockists wellgosh.com in highly limited quantities.
