This week’s ‘Trainer of the Week’ is the Saucony Shadow 6000 appearing in a retro inspired White/Grey/Mint make-up. The retro reissue drops as part of the ‘Running Man’ Pack which features a quartet of colour-ups in the 1991 running silhouette. Each pair features a white mesh base, complimented with contrasting hues on the suede paneling and pops of white at the laces and midsole.
Saucony are the latest footwear label to re-release a 1990’s runner this year, setting things off for Fall with a premium rendition of one of their classic runners. As a staple style featured in the Saucony retro line, there has been a series of premium builds in the Shadow 6000 already, but the latest colour-up will inevitably turn heads this season appearing in subtly styled tones of grey, white and mint green; effortlessly blending to create a uniquely clean palette.
With the popularity of runners being at an all time high Saucony revive the retro Shadow 6000, accentuating the premium materials used in construction with a subdued colour-way. The 1991 inspired runner features a white breathable mesh base, premium soft suede overlays around the toe-box, sidewalls and mudguard appearing in both light and dark shades of grey, accented with the iconic Saucony sidewall branding appearing in mint green smooth leather. The Shadow 6000 retains all the performance technology that made the runner so iconic throughout the 1990s, including: a sole unit which combines Saucony’s ‘Ionic Cushioning System’, forefoot midsole grooves and grippy triangular outsole lugs on the outsole. Tied together with the ‘Running Man’ woven tongue patch which appears on all four silhouettes in the pack.
The Saucony Shadow 6000 in White/Grey/Mint is available alongside the White/Blue, White/Green and White/Red at Wellgosh. All the Shadow 6000 iterations available as part of the ‘Running Man’ Pack retail at £89.95, and are available in limited numbers.
