News | Moncler x AMI | FW15 Lookbook
Franco-Italian outerwear specialists Moncler present their debut collection with AMI.
Designed by AMI’s Alexandre Mattiussi, the collaborative collection takes Moncler’s core values of extreme performance wear reworked for city life one step further, appearing here as ultra high-end outerwear coupled with laidback and luxurious casualwear. AMI’s tricolour motif appears several times here, along with a clever logo mash-up between the two brands.
Highlights include several fleece-collared bomber jackets in rich navy, denim and herringbones, as well as the terry logo-ed sweatshirt, a firm fan favorite in AMI’s own collections. Mattiussi favors oversized cuts, with pieces featuring the iconic Moncler logo badge often blown up for the collaboration. The collection comes topped off with casual footwear, luggage and a selection of hats, some again emblazoned with the Moncler logo in terry fabric.
Started in 1952 in Monestier-de-Clermont, Grenoble, France, Moncler is now located in Italy. Over the course of the years the brand has merged style with ongoing technological research, which harnesses the knowledge of mountaineering experts. Moncler collections combine extreme needs with day-to-day city life.
Founded in 2011 in Paris, AMI is the brainchild of ex Givenchy & Dior creative Alexandre Mattiussi, fusing effortless Parisian chic with positive and fun designs.
The debut Moncler x AMI collection will reach selected retailers this September.
