Wellgosh | Trainer of The Week | Nike Flight Classic

We’ve teamed up with online store Wellgosh to provide you with their current favourite “Trainer Of The Week” to feature on our blog and in our weekly newsletter.  There are no other rules other than we have to feature a new style each week and give a description of why it’s their “Trainer Of The Week”. This week’s ‘Trainer of the Week’ is the Nike Flight Classic in White/White. The iconic Basketball silhouette has been endorsed Michael Jordan, also inspiring the sole unit on his fourth pro model the Nike Air Jordan Retro IV.  The Nike Air Flight Classic is constructed utilising contemporary basketball sneaker design features, however retains the leather upper, visible Air-Sole and midsole that originally appeared on the Nike Air Flight ’89.

The Flight Classic was remastered and reintroduced to shelves in 2011, and receives an iced out update this summer.  The upper is constructed from premium leather, the sidewalls are panelled into a unique embossed leather reminiscent of Ostrich skin, with perforated leather panels applied under the collar and heel panel and a wider mesh toe-box, appearing in monochrome white with a white swoosh, tongue and heel branding, an all white midsole and a translucent ice coloured outsole below tying up this immaculate colour-up.
