Label Focus: Black Butter Records
Black Butter Records have been going from strength to strength since launching in 2010. From a recent takeover on the Diplo and Friends BBC Radio 1 show that saw guest mixes from Rudimental, Kidnap Kid and Gorgon City (three of Black Butter Records biggest signings) to winning the “Best Small Label,” at the AIM awards. 2012 has certainly seen Black Butters Records rise through the ranks.
With a list of talented artists on the books including Hostage, Gorgon City, Clean Bandit, LuLu James, Woz, Syron, Noisses, RackNRuin and of course, Rudimental, Black Butter Records are championing a range of genres and tempos.
Notable success came in the summer of 2012 where Rudimental’s tune “Feel The Love” charted at number 1 on both the UK singles and dance charts turning Rudimental into a household name almost overnight.
Black Butter Records continue to expand and elevate their status as one of the freshest UK records labels to emerge over the past couple of years.
