Review: Jacket Required

 

It might be a little premature but after walking around Jacket Required last weekend it has to be said that the tropical flavors and sunglasses on offer got us fully in the mood for summer over here at CPR HQ. With over 100 brands representing there were some great new styles and designs but you know what, you just can’t beat the tropical flavours. Here are a couple of our favourites.

Illustrated People 
East London based street wear label, Illustrated People is comprised of a unique studio of designers and illustrators. Illustrated People began designing hand-printed, original T-shirts. The brand has grown into an extensive illustration clothing company and stockists include ASOS and Topshop. Not too sure about the socks and sandals combo buy we’re fully backing this super tropical combo that will be available in April.

 

Native Youth
Another company we spotted representing the tropical vibe was Native Youth, at an affordable £35 this shirt really did catch our eye both in terms of colour and quality, also available this Summer. Keep an eye out for this brand as there are some other viable options in the range.

 

Canada Goose
Well we can wish for the summer as much as we want can’t we, but we’ve got to be realistic, so it’s back to matters at hand and there is no other way to beat the cold and wind than with an authentic Canada Goose Jacket, with their popularity increasing rapidly we were especially drawn to, and really liked, the Black Label Range that was being shown at Jacket Required – very tidy indeed.

Bookman
On a safety note this Sweedish company have come up with the goods and whilst the nights are still long and after what old Bradley Wiggins has done at the Olympics to fly the flag for cyclists across the UK, cycling popularity is at an all time high. We spotted Bookman, a company offering very simple yet effective and affordable bike light options spanning a wide range of colours, a must for any cyclist during these short days.
